Kurupt, A.K.A. Young Gotti, born Ricardo Emmanuel Brown on November 23, 1972, is an American gangsta rapper known for his influential role in West Coast hip-hop. Originally from Philadelphia, he moved to Los Angeles as a teenager and became a key figure in the rap group “Tha Dogg Pound” alongside Daz Dillinger. Kurupt’s career took off in the early 1990s when he signed with Death Row Records, contributing to iconic albums like Dr. Dre’s “The Chronic” and Snoop Dogg’s “Doggystyle”.

He has released several solo albums, with his debut “Kuruption!” reaching number eight on the Billboard 200. Known for his sharp lyrical skills and raw delivery, Kurupt has also been part of other groups like “The Hrsmn” and has collaborated with numerous artists across the hip-hop industry.
